Weshalb sind Glasgewebe in Kleinpackungen von 1 oder 2 m günstiger als Rollen mit 3 m?
Gefaltet
Der Grund dafür ist die einfachere Fertigung von Kleinpackungen, indem die Gewebe gefaltet und in einem Polybeutel verpackt werden. Dies ist insgesamt weniger aufwendig als die Fertigung einer Rolle.
Why are glass fabrics in smaller packs (1 and 2 m) cheaper than a 3 m rolls?
Folded
The reason for this is the easier production process of the smaller packs, as the fabric is folded and packed in a polybag. Overall this is less time consuming than the production of a roll.
Glasgewebe gefaltet (Kleinpackungen)
Rollen
Gewebe auf Rolle sind qualitativ besser, es gibt keine Knicke oder Verzüge. Bei größeren Rollenlängen (4 m und mehr) ist der Preis günstiger als bei gefalteten Kleinpackungen. Der Grundpreis im Shop gewährt eine Vergleichbarkeit.

Warum gibt es Kohlegewebe (Carbon) nicht auch gefaltet?
Aus Qualitätsgründen darf Kohlefaser nicht geknickt werden, da sie sonst beschädigt wird und ihre Festigkeit verlieren kann.
Kohlegewebe werden daher nur in der hochwertigsten Verpackungsart auf einem stabilen Pappkern gewickelt geliefert, gut geschützt durch Folie.

For quality reasons carbon fiber can not be folded, since it will be damaged and could lose its strength. Therefore carbon fabrics are only supplied on the higher quality packaging type (rolls).
