Carbon/Aramid fabric 68 g/m² (style 664, plain) 100 cm
USA: width 39.37", weight 2 oz/yd²
The Carbon/Aramid fabric 68 g/m² (Style 664) is a fine structured carbon-aramid hybrid fabric in plain weave for lightweight and highly stressed composite components. The combination of Torayca® T300B carbon fibre (67 tex, 1k) and Kevlar® 49 aramid fibre (42 tex) combines high stiffness with increased impact resistance and abrasion resistance.
The balanced thread count of 6.5 × 6.5 threads/cm provides a uniform, well-drapable fabric with controlled resin uptake. The low areal weight of 68 g/m² makes it particularly suitable for thin-walled lightweight structures, outer plies and visually demanding exposed laminate surfaces.
