The CNC-milled thread inserts made of high-quality brass alloy are a practical accessory that transforms plastic parts (made of PLA, PETG, ABS, etc.) into practical and versatile functional components.
The cadmium- and lead-free thread inserts are inserted or melted in with a soldering iron. They increase the strength of the resulting connection by bonding the thread insert to the material and preventing it from moving.
Tip: For maximum strength connections, the brass inserts should be installed at a temperature that is 10-20 °C higher than the pressure temperature. The manufacturer recommends only melting 90 % of the threaded inserts with a soldering iron - the rest can be fitted into the component using tools.
