Telescopic Carbon Round Tube Set (Ø 26/24 + 24/22) × 850 mm
Telescopic carbon fibre tube set consisting of roll-wrapped CFRP tubes with a high-quality, high-gloss surface finish made from 3K twill weave carbon fabric. The tubes are clear-coated for enhanced UV resistance and surface protection. The underlying structural layers consist of unidirectional (UD) carbon fibre reinforcements embedded in a high-performance epoxy resin matrix.
The set comprises two precisely matched carbon fibre tubes with dimensions of Ø 26/24 mm and Ø 24/22 mm. Both tubes feature a wall thickness of 1.0 mm and telescope smoothly into one another without any additional machining.
R&G carbon fibre tubes offer an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio, combining high bending and hoop stiffness with minimal weight. They are ideally suited for demanding applications in model making, mechanical engineering, robotics, motorsport, UAV construction, photographic equipment and recreational products.
Construction and Manufacturing
Our carbon fibre tubes are manufactured using a roll-wrapping process. The visible outer layer consists of 3K twill weave carbon fabric with a fibre orientation of 0°/90°. The underlying structural layers are made from unidirectional carbon fibre reinforcements aligned in the 0° direction, providing excellent longitudinal stiffness while maintaining good hoop strength.
After curing, the tubes are precision ground to achieve a uniform surface finish, high dimensional accuracy and reliable telescopic compatibility. The tubes are then coated with a clear lacquer to provide UV protection and a durable high-gloss finish.
The clear coating helps protect the surface from ultraviolet radiation and contributes to a long-lasting premium appearance in both indoor and outdoor applications.

Technical Notes
Machining:
Carbon fibre tubes can be machined using common workshop tools. Fine-toothed hacksaws, cutting discs or diamond-coated tools are recommended. Suitable personal protective equipment should be worn to avoid exposure to carbon fibre and sanding dust.
Temperature Resistance:
The maximum service temperature is primarily determined by the epoxy resin system used. Unless otherwise specified, continuous operating temperatures should not exceed approximately 100 °C.
UV Resistance:
The clear-coated surface protects the tube against ultraviolet radiation and helps prevent chalking or loss of gloss during long-term outdoor use.
Corrosion Behaviour:
Carbon fibre itself is corrosion resistant and does not rust. However, direct contact between carbon fibre composites and electrically conductive metals, particularly aluminium or magnesium, may lead to galvanic corrosion in the presence of moisture.
To prevent galvanic corrosion, carbon fibre components and metal parts should be electrically isolated from one another. Suitable methods include paint coatings, adhesive bond lines, plastic bushings, plastic washers or other insulating barriers.
Tolerances:
Outside diameter of inner tube: −0.1 mm
Straightness: typically ≤ 1 mm/m
Note on Telescopic Applications:
For smooth long-term telescopic operation, clean surfaces are recommended. If required, a light lubrication may further improve sliding performance. Prior to installation, the actual dimensions of the tube combination should be verified for the intended application.
