Telescopic Carbon Round Tube Set (Ø 28/26 + 26/24 + 24/22) × 600 mm
This telescopic carbon fibre tube set consists of three precisely matched carbon fibre tubes with dimensions of Ø 28/26 mm, Ø 26/24 mm and Ø 24/22 mm. The tubes telescope smoothly into one another without any additional machining, forming a three-stage telescopic tube system for lightweight, rigid and space-saving structures.
Combining a large extension range with a compact transport length, this set is particularly suitable for telescopic masts, antenna supports, camera booms, sensor mounts and numerous lightweight engineering, model-making and automation applications.
Construction and Manufacturing
The roll-wrapped carbon fibre tubes feature a high-quality, high-gloss surface finish made from 3K plain weave carbon fabric. The underlying structural layers consist of unidirectional carbon fibre reinforcements aligned in the 0° direction. A high-performance epoxy resin system is used as the matrix material.
The visible outer layer is oriented at 0°/90° and, together with the unidirectional core layers, provides excellent longitudinal stiffness combined with high bending and hoop stiffness. After curing, the tubes are precision ground and subsequently clear-coated. This manufacturing process ensures a uniform surface finish, excellent dimensional accuracy and reliable telescopic compatibility.
The clear coating protects the carbon fibre surface against UV radiation and contributes to a durable, premium appearance in both indoor and outdoor applications.

Technical Notes
Machining:
Carbon fibre tubes can be machined using common workshop tools. Fine-toothed hacksaws, cutting discs or diamond-coated tools are recommended. Suitable personal protective equipment should be worn to avoid exposure to carbon fibre and sanding dust.
Temperature Resistance:
The maximum service temperature is primarily determined by the epoxy resin system used. Unless otherwise specified, continuous operating temperatures should not exceed approximately 100 °C.
UV Resistance:
The clear-coated surface protects the tubes against ultraviolet radiation and helps prevent chalking or loss of gloss during long-term outdoor use.
Corrosion Behaviour:
Carbon fibre itself is corrosion resistant and does not rust. However, direct contact between carbon fibre composites and electrically conductive metals, particularly aluminium or magnesium, may lead to galvanic corrosion in the presence of moisture.
To prevent galvanic corrosion, carbon fibre components and metal parts should be electrically isolated from one another. Suitable methods include paint coatings, adhesive bond lines, plastic bushings, plastic washers or other insulating barriers.
Tolerances:
Outside diameter of inner tube: −0.1 mm
Straightness: typically ≤ 1 mm/m
Note on Telescopic Applications:
For smooth long-term telescopic operation, clean surfaces are recommended. If required, a light lubricant may further improve sliding performance. Prior to installation, the actual dimensions of the tube combination should be verified for the intended application.
