Funnel made of polypropylene
Suitable for decanting chemicals. Robust funnels with diameters of 7.5, 12 and 20 cm.
PP (polypropylene) has a higher chemical resistance to most chemical substances than polyethylene (PE). PP is odourless and skin-friendly, suitable for food and pharmaceutical applications, physiologically harmless and biologically inert.
- Resistant to epoxy and polyester resins
- Resistant to solvents such as acetone
Other media to which PP has very good resistance (selection):
Formic acid, ammonia, distilled water, vinegar, acetic acid, hydrogen fluoride, glucose, glycerine, artificial fertiliser salts (in water), methyl alcohol, sodium carbonate (soda), sodium chloride (salt), caustic soda (in water), mineral oils, phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, silver nitrate (in water), animal and vegetable oil, hydrogen peroxide, citric acid (in water).
Conditionally resistant:
Petrol, benzenes, chloroform, chromic acid (in water), nitric acid (in water), and tri-chloroethylene.
Not resistant to:
Bromine, turpentine, tetra-chlorocarbon.
