FORMULA FIVE® Mould Release Wax – High-Gloss Release Wax, 340 g

The FORMULA FIVE® Mould Release Wax is a high-quality, silicone-containing release paste on a wax basis, specifically developed for use in mould making. It is ideal for high-gloss moulds and ensures reliable separation as well as excellent surface quality of the manufactured components.

Through the combination of carnauba hard wax and modern synthetic waxes, a durable, high-gloss separating layer with very good abrasion resistance is created.

Processing instructions (manufacturer specifications)

1. Prepare the mould surface
   The mould surface must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased.
2. Apply the release paste
   Spread the release paste evenly on the clean mould surface.
3. Allow wax to dry
   Let the wax dry until it appears cloudy.
4. Polish to a high gloss
   Polish to a high gloss with a clean, soft cloth.
   Recommendation: R&G cleaning and polishing cloth
5. Re-smooth the entire mold surface
   Wipe the entire mold surface evenly again.

Note:
On first use, apply 2–3 layers of wax. Depending on the stress and demolding behavior, add wax as needed afterward.

Consumption:
Approx. 20–60 g/m² (depending on the condition and porosity of the mold surface)

Important note about substrates:
The FORMULA FIVE® Release Paste contains hydrocarbon solvents, including a small amount (< 2 %) of aromatic hydrocarbons (see safety data sheet).

Attention:
Sensitive plastics and coatings such as:

• Polycarbonate
• Plexiglas®
• certain paints
• putty materials

may swell, making moulding impossible.
Always test material compatibility before use (compatibility lists or a preliminary test).

Alternative for sensitive surfaces
For solvent-sensitive substrates, we recommend:
PARTALL® Coverall Film PVA by Rexco – a water-soluble release film.
