MATERIAL TO AEROSPACE SPECIFICATION
Style 447-5 Aero carbon fabric is manufactured from high-strength Tenax® HTA 40 or Pyrofil™ TR30S carbon fibres. Its balanced plain weave, with 4 yarns/cm in both warp and weft directions, provides a dimensionally stable fabric structure for multi-ply CFRP laminates. With an areal weight of 160 g/m², it is suitable for technical reinforcements and weight-efficient composite components.

Properties and processing
The high-strength 3k carbon fibres support stiff, weight-efficient laminate structures. The plain weave provides good dimensional stability during cutting and positioning. The fabric is particularly suitable for flat to moderately curved components; twill-weave fabrics generally offer better drapability over complex contours.
Suitable for hand lay-up and vacuum bagging with compatible epoxy laminating resins. Low-viscosity resin systems facilitate uniform fibre wet-out.
