INFUPLEX with ISONET combines flow media and perforated release film in one factory-bonded material. Instead of cutting and positioning two separate layers during vacuum infusion, only one combined layer needs to be handled. This simplifies the lay-up, reduces preparation time and helps avoid positioning errors.
In a conventional vacuum infusion process, perforated release film and flow media are cut and positioned separately. INFUPLEX permanently combines both materials while maintaining the function of each layer. This reduces handling and simplifies the vacuum bagging process.
The main advantage becomes apparent on larger parts. Instead of aligning and fixing two separate materials, only one layer is installed. This saves time and reduces the risk of missed areas or inconsistent overlaps.
The flow media is made from self-releasing co-polyethylene with a standard flow rate. The integrated perforated release film is manufactured from self-releasing polypropylene with P1 perforation. Both materials are suitable for processing temperatures up to 90 °C.
INFUPLEX was not developed to reduce resin consumption or increase resin flow. Its primary benefit is a simpler and faster lay-up. If flow media and perforated release film are normally used together, INFUPLEX reduces handling and preparation time. If maximum flexibility in material selection is required, separate flow media and perforated release film remain the better choice.
INFUPLEX is suitable for vacuum infusion in mould making, model making, marine applications, automotive components and industrial composite manufacturing. It is particularly useful for larger moulds, repetitive production and small series manufacturing.

INFUPLEX is installed in the same way as conventional flow media. Since the perforated release film is already bonded to the flow media, there is no need to cut and position the two materials separately.
INFUPLEX is the ideal choice whenever flow media and perforated release film are routinely used together and a fast, straightforward lay-up is required. For occasional one-off parts or applications requiring different combinations of flow media and release films, separate materials offer greater flexibility.
