Resins + Hardeners - Casting - Epoxy_casting_resins

Epoxy Casting Resins
Casting resin type | Description | Processing time | Curing | Mixing ratio Resin : Hardener |
---|---|---|---|---|
Epoxy Casting Resin WATER-CLEAR + Hardener W 300 |
For medium casting thicknesses in one step, multilayer potting is possible; cures tack-free even in thin layers (extended curing time). |
300 minutes | 24-72 hours | 100 : 35 parts by weight |
All data on thicknesses, processing time and curing time are only approximate values. A large number of parameters such as temperature, casting volume, substrates have a decisive influence. The values may therefore deviate considerably in practice.
What is important in processing?
- Determine the required resin/hardener quantity. The R&G resin calculator helps you to do this.
- Weigh components accurately and mix resin and hardener thoroughly (drill +mixing propeller); then repot into a clean container and mix again.
- Allow the batch to stand for 15 - 30 minutes to deaerate. Remove rising air bubbles, which lie as foam on the surface after casting, with a hot air gun or gas flame (fire hazard).
- Set up fans (cold air) above the casting (e.g. Rivertable); this has proven effective in preventing overheating.
