EPIFANES EPIFANES 2K Polyurethane Clear Gloss is a premium two-component PU clear varnish with an extremely high gloss level and advanced UV filters. The coating reliably protects wood surfaces against discoloration, gloss loss and weathering – even under tropical climate conditions.

The PU clear varnish offers high scratch resistance, excellent water resistance and a durable, brilliant finish. After full curing, the surface can also be polished.

Suitable for use on existing polyurethane varnish systems from various manufacturers, as UV protection on epoxy surfaces or as a complete clear coating system on stable bare wood. It can also be used as a high gloss clear topcoat on Epifanes Poly-urethane Yacht Coatings.

• Pot life after mixing at 20 °C: approx. 3 hours

Drying times at 20 °C

• Dust dry: approx. 2 hours
• Recoatable / sandable: after approx. 24 hours
• Polishable: after full cure (approx. 7 days)

Application instructions

For best results, application with a soft long-haired brush or roller is recommended. Do not apply wet-on-wet. Avoid direct sunlight and strong airflow during application.

On bare wood, the first coat should be thinned by 10–15 %. Intermediate sanding between coats is recommended.
