• Very low viscosity (13 ± 2 mPa•s, at 25 °C)

Epoxy Resin EPIKOTE™ Resin L 20 + Hardener EPIKURE™ Curing Agent 943

The combination of Epoxy Resin EPIKOTE™ Resin L 20 and Hardener EPIKURE™ Curing Agent 943 yields an extremely low-viscosity epoxy resin system of medium reactivity and superior impregnating and wetting properties to glass, aramid, and carbon fibres.

Application:
Due to its good impregnation properties, it is preferably used for the production of heavy-duty fibre composite components using the winding process.

Processing:

Processing: 100 - 200 minutes

Mixing ratio:
100 : 24 parts by weight of EPIKOTE™ Resin L 20 : EPIKURE™ Curing Agent 943

Curing time:

1. 8 - 10 h at room temperature, followed by 8 - 10 h hot curing at 60 °C
2. To shorten curing: 3 h at 30 - 40 °C + 8 -10 h at 60 °C
3. For greatly enhanced thermoforming stability (TG approx. 110 °C):
   Curing as in 1. or 2. + post curing 6 - 10 h at 120 °C with a temperature heating rate of 20K/h.
