CARBON fibre tubes wound 0°/90° (tapered/conical), PW (3k)
Roll-wrapped conical carbon fibre tubes with a smooth surface finish of 3k carbon fabric prepreg in plain weave, clear-coated glossy. Subjacent layers from unidirectional non-crimp fabric. High-quality epoxy resin matrix.
Fibre orientation:
- Surface layer: 0°/90°
- Core layers: 0°
Characteristics:
Lightweight, excellent corrosion and heat resistance, and electrical conductivity. Very good flexural and hoop stiffness.
After laminating, the wound CFK round tubes are ground (round) to size and then coated.
Tolerances:
Deviation in diameter ± 0.2 mm. Deviation in straightness max. 2 mm/m. The measured values are generally far below the maximum.
Ideally suited as tail boom for small gliders, HLGs, and DLGs up to 1 m wing span and F1B / F1H free flight models.
